and this is the story of her Bakery!

When Bernice was a young girl she learned to make povotica bread from her mother. This recipe was so good that she was soon baking this bread for all of her friends.

As the word spread around town about how tasty her povotica bread was, Bernice became flooded with requests for this special bread. She quickly realized that her own kitchen was to small to make all of this bread. So she and her husband built a bakery. Bernice's Bakery was born!

In those days each neighborhood had it's own store to buy fresh groceries. It wasn't long before Bernice's Bread stocked the shelves at these neighborhood markets. Once discovered, Bernce's povotica bread became a staple at family Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Now, over sixty years later, Bernice's tradition of home made quality contiunues.
